Members at KB Honbu often quip, ... T T T = Tough Torturous Training ... , referring to the training that takes place there. 

However, on 31 December 2005, different forms of - T T T ... The Tatami Tango ... took place with partners !

Like the upbeat number,  ... M M M  = Macarena Madagascar Moves, presented by the young Teenage Committee (Below 16 Category),  which became the evening's Welcoming Ice-Breaker, enticing Sensei Hj. Okhida, the Brunei National Team Karatedo Coach into ....  T T T  = Tatami To Tango !

Young children were not left out.  They had their bit of share in a fancy dress. 

A little Cherubim Angel came in the form of Haziqah Awang.  There was a Fairy, with butterfly wings.  If only Nabilah Awang had flapped her wings harder, she could have flown !

Unfortunately, a Witch in long black gown, tall black hat, armed with a short broken broomstick and a Wizard brandishing a long sickle over her shoulder,  could not make themselves fly either !

Perhaps Harry Potter should have been on the tatami mat !

Only a half-alike Elvis Presley (V-sign) appeared, towing  Yellow Mask Boy (we thought SARS was still around) !

Aloha, little Miss Hawaii, hula-hula dancing, onto the tatami, too !

All the judges for the Fancy Dress Competition found it difficult to assess the best dressed winners.

To make everyone happy, each got a prize for participation.

Men were not spared either. 

Four strong muscle-men were asked by Sensei Hj. Jeff, the evening's Mcee, to kindly come forward, standing in a row on the tatami mat, parading and flexing their triceps and biceps.

All of them half-smiling, kept their hands comfortably folded or safely in their pockets, as Sensei Hj. Jeff, introduced the heros and pride of Wado. 

These four are Brunei's ex-National Team Karatedo players, who are also medalists.  They are Tong Kit Siong, Sim Chung Hiang (SEA Games 2005), Mohd. Fazil Rewandi bin Mohd. Faizal (Indonesian Open Karatedo Championship 2002) and Christopher Lo Jian Ming (SEA Games 2003).

One of the many events in the evening's Programme, was the Referees' Certificate  of Appreciation Presentation to all Karatekas who had attended a 2-day Referee Clinic on 10 - 11 December 2005.   Sensei Hj. Okhida presented the Certificates.

In recognition of their hard work, outstanding performances and continuous contribution towards Wadokai, Shihan Hj. Malai presented honourary  Brown belts, Black Belts  and Assistant Instructors Certificates to various members.

A special Honourary Wadokai 5^th Dan Certificate was presented to Sensei Hj. Okhida. (picture right).

Sensei Hj. Jefferydean (in blue shirt) was pleasantly surprised to receive his 5^th Dan Certificate.

Azyrin bin Sahari, Christopher Lo Jian Ming, Gary Lim Kwok Chuen, Mohd. Fazil bin Basri and Mohd. Zaini bin Hj. Kassim received their 2^nd Dan Black Belts.

Tong Kit Siong got his 1st Dan Black Belt.

Brown Belts promoters were Sim Chung Hiang, Hajjah Noorul Sulastrie bte. Hj. Sabtu, Siti Susilawati bte Mohd. Zaini and Sujimah bte Menjari.

Assistant Instructors Certificates were presented to Leslie Lim Seng Lee and Awang bin Hj. Munap.

Shihan Hj. Malai also arranged with all KB Honbu Members, to shower another surprise of gifts to Sensei Hj.  Okhida's daughter, Amira, though absent, was thrilled to bits upon receiving a car load full of New Year presents !

After all the surprises had popped, various activities and lucky draws continued to keep the party alive for the New Year countdown.

Abundant pot luck food and drinks spread out on the buffet table kept everyone energized till the clock struck 12 midnight, when all present, locked hands and erupted into the song " The Final Countdown ".

All had an enjoyable good fun time.
